Volunteer Opportunities
We are a community-led, non-profit organization with contract seasonal staff and therefore are unable to accept high school volunteers. If you are under the age of 18 please see Ecosource a Mississauga environmental organization offering youth volunteering programs.
Board of Directors - OPEN
Have Board experience? Our board is looking for members in the committee areas mentioned here. Express your interest by filling out the Contact Form. Interested but don't have board experience or prefer starting on a committee (e.g finance, business, insurance, human resources, fund development/grant writing, community development, marketing), fill out the Contact form above.
Musicians & DJ's - thursdays 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm
Music makes the market go round! Whether you are seasoned or looking for places to get experience performing in front of people. We offer musicians and DJ's an informal, outdoor community venue to play on Thursdays. Please review and fill out the Musician Application then scan and email it to Tahlia at market@erinmillsmarket.com who will get back to you. Join us often or as you can, June-September.
COMMUNICATION ASSISTANT - OPEN
Is your happy place writing and are interested in food and the environment? The communication assistant works with the project folks and vendors writing the newsletter (weekly, June to the end of September) and periodically before. You don't have to be a writer, just enjoy doing it and have some experience. There are lots of places to get content and we'll train you on the newsletter software if this is new to you.
3-8 hrs/week June - End of September

photographers - OPEN (2 Positions)
Photos help to capture all the food and fun at the farmers market. We use them in promotional materials, on the website, on social media, etc. Whether you are growing your hobby or doing this pretty regularly and looking to give back, you're welcome. Bring your camera or if you can shoot using your smartphone, use it. Thursdays between 3:00 pm and 6:30 pm: 1 hour. Join us often or as you can, June - Sept. Help us spread the word about Erin Mills Farmer’s Market. Do you work at or own a like-minded business?
